PlasmaGlass – very cool

I discovered this rear projection screen at the recent Association of Minnesota Counties annual conference but the vendor who had one didn’t have any product info. So it was cool to find one at COSUGI in the Backstage Library Works booth. The Minnesota regional library system directors are working on a redesign of our vendor display for city, county and school meetings and this would be inexpensive, light weight and convey the message that libraries are techie..

  1. I'm not seeing how this is inexpensive or really that much lighter... Honking monitor = $400 perhaps vs projector plus sheet of glass? I suppose if you use one of those tiny portable projectors... But I didn't think they were inexpensive

  2. I took a picture and immediately sent if back to staff and said look for this. The vendor said the projector max had to be 2000 ANSI or else it over powers the plasma.
